Terms of Service — When I Don't Know What to Pray
Terms of Service

The agreement we walk by.

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to When I Don't Know What to Pray, an app and service provided by Plain & Simple Media ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us when you use the app, visit our website at psmedia.studio, or participate in any feature we offer.

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, using the app, or purchasing any service from us, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who Can Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the app. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian is aware of your use and has agreed to these Terms on your behalf where required by law.

By using the service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

Your Account

To access most of the app, you'll create an account using your email or by signing in with Apple. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your sign-in information secure
  • All activity that happens under your account
  • Notifying us right away if you suspect someone else is using your account

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that put other users or the integrity of the Fellowship at risk.

The Spirit of This Service

This app is built as a place of prayer, reflection, and Christian fellowship. By using it, you agree to walk inside it in that same spirit. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Use the app to harass, demean, attack, or threaten another user
  • Post hateful, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or unlawful content
  • Share prayer requests, testimonies, or messages that you know to be false
  • Solicit other users for money, products, or services outside of the Fellowship Giving system
  • Promote teachings or content that misrepresent or contradict Scripture for the purpose of deceiving others
  • Attempt to access, scrape, copy, or interfere with the app's data, code, or infrastructure
  • Use the app or any of its content for commercial purposes without our written permission
  • Impersonate any other person, ministry, or organization

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other action to protect the Fellowship. We try to make these decisions thoughtfully and prayerfully, but reserve the right to do so without prior notice when necessary.

Subscriptions and Billing

Some features of the app require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Renewal payments are charged to your Apple ID account.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically.
  • Current pricing is displayed inside the app on the subscription screen.

Refunds

Refund requests for subscription purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and follow the steps. We are not able to issue refunds for Apple-billed subscriptions on our end.

Personal Soundtracks

A Personal Soundtrack is a custom song created at your request, produced by Plain & Simple Media. When you request a Personal Soundtrack, the following terms apply.

Ordering and payment

Personal Soundtracks are paid for through Stripe at the time of order. Current pricing is shown inside the app. Subscribers receive a discount that is automatically applied at checkout. Payment is processed in full before production begins.

Delivery

We aim to deliver completed Personal Soundtracks within 5 to 7 business days of order confirmation. Delivery may take longer for orders submitted during high-volume periods, around holidays, or when additional clarification is needed from you. We will notify you if there are delays.

Revisions

We want you to love your Personal Soundtrack. If a song does not meet what was requested, we will work with you on reasonable revisions. Revisions are limited to adjustments within the original brief you submitted (scripture, theme, dedication, name). Requests that change the core direction of the song after completion may be treated as a new order.

Refunds for Personal Soundtracks

If you cancel an order before production begins, we will issue a full refund. Once your song has entered production, no refund is available, even if you change your mind about the song or decide not to use it. Revisions, as described above, are available where appropriate.

Ownership and use of your Personal Soundtrack

When your Personal Soundtrack is delivered:

  • You receive a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the song for personal, non-commercial purposes — including playing it at weddings, funerals, family gatherings, dedications, on personal social media, and in private worship settings.
  • Plain & Simple Media retains the underlying copyright and master rights to the song. You do not own the song itself; you own the right to use it personally.
  • You may not sell, sub-license, or commercially distribute your Personal Soundtrack without our written permission.
  • You may not use your Personal Soundtrack for paid advertising, in any product you sell, or in any context that uses the song to generate revenue without a separate commercial agreement.

We may showcase Personal Soundtracks as examples on our website or inside the app (without revealing private dedication details) unless you ask us not to.

Fellowship Giving

Fellowship Giving is a feature inside the app where members of the Fellowship can come together around verified needs. By using Fellowship Giving, you agree to the following.

If you submit a need

You agree that:

  • The need you submit is real, current, and accurately described.
  • The supporting documentation you provide is authentic and unaltered.
  • You will not submit the same need to multiple platforms in a way that could result in being funded more than the amount requested.
  • All funds raised on your behalf will be received by Plain & Simple Media and disbursed to you once your submission is fully verified.
  • If the need is later found to be false or misleading, the listing will be removed and any funds collected will be returned to the givers.

If you give

You agree that:

  • Gifts given through Fellowship Giving are voluntary and are not loans or investments.
  • Plain & Simple Media holds funds in trust until the need is verified, then disburses the funds to the recipient.
  • Gifts are not tax-deductible donations to a 501(c)(3) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Plain & Simple Media is not a registered charity.
  • You give freely and do not expect anything in return from the recipient.

Content You Share

When you post content inside the app — prayer requests, reflections, testimonials, praise reports, journal entries shared publicly, messages, comments — you keep ownership of your content. By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and use your content for the purpose of operating and improving the service.

You confirm that the content you share is yours to share, does not infringe on anyone else's rights, and complies with these Terms.

Our Content

Everything in the app that comes from us — the spoken prayers, affirmations, reflective songs, gospel mixes, podcasts, design, code, written content, branding, and the name When I Don't Know What to Pray — is owned by Plain and Simple Media or used with permission. You may use this content only within the app for personal, non-commercial use. You may not download, copy, redistribute, reupload, remix, or republish our content without our written permission.

Service Availability

We work to keep the app running smoothly, but we don't guarantee that it will be available without interruption. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. When we make significant changes, we will let you know inside the app or by email.

A Few Honest Words (Disclaimers)

We put real care into the app, the content, and the Fellowship. At the same time, we offer the service as it is and as it's available. We can't promise it will be perfect, uninterrupted, or free of every error, and we can't make legal guarantees about it beyond what the law requires.

The prayers, affirmations, songs, reflections, and discussions inside the app are meant for spiritual encouragement. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or need professional help, please reach out to a qualified professional. We'll be praying for you, but please don't wait on us when real help is needed.

The Limits of Our Responsibility

We want to be fair and clear here. To the fullest extent the law allows, Plain & Simple Media and those who help operate the service won't be responsible for indirect or unexpected losses that come from using the app — things like lost data, lost income, or distress. We never want anyone to be harmed, but we can't take on responsibility for outcomes outside our reasonable control.

If something does go wrong and we're found responsible, our total responsibility to you won't be more than what you paid us in the twelve months before the issue arose.

If Your Actions Cause a Problem

If something you do on the service — breaking these Terms, misusing the app, or stepping on someone else's rights — leads to a claim or cost against Plain & Simple Media, you agree to cover those costs, including any legal fees that result. In plain terms: each of us is responsible for our own actions here.

Which Laws Apply

Plain & Simple Media is based in Florida, so these Terms follow Florida law. If a disagreement ever needs to go before a court rather than arbitration (described below), it would be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

If We Disagree

We'd much rather resolve things peacefully than through any kind of legal process. So if you ever have a concern, please email us first at contactus@psmedia.studio. Most things can be worked out simply by talking, and we genuinely want to make it right.

If we truly can't resolve something between us, then instead of going to court, you and Plain & Simple Media agree to settle it through arbitration — a simpler, more private process handled by a neutral third party (the American Arbitration Association). The one exception: either of us can still bring a smaller claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.

Arbitration would take place in Florida unless we both agree on somewhere else. The arbitrator can decide the same things a court could, and each of us covers our own costs unless the rules or the law say otherwise.

One more thing, stated plainly: any disagreement is handled individually, between you and us — not as part of a group or class action. This keeps things personal and direct rather than turning a single concern into a large proceeding.

If you'd rather not be bound by this arbitration agreement, that's okay — just let us know in writing at contactus@psmedia.studio within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, and you can opt out.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and let you know inside the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

If One Part Doesn't Hold Up

If a court or arbitrator ever decides that one part of these Terms can't stand, the rest still applies. That single part would simply be adjusted as little as needed to make it work, while keeping its original meaning as closely as possible.

The Whole Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Plain & Simple Media regarding the service. They replace any earlier agreements, written or spoken.
